Biography:
Established in 2013, Svaha Sound has come a long way in its mission to support unsigned artists in perfecting their art and providing the tools and expertise neccesary for them to grow. The seeds for Svaha were planted when Mr Lion and Svaha Sound System began collaborating on what woild become the labels inaugral release, Roots & Branches showcased some of the biggest unsigned talent in the world including SENNID and Jennifer Paulos. It was Lord Vadher's first release under the guise of Svaha Sound System and featured the Heayweight, Mr Lion in Svaha's Dub (featuring Mr Lion). This union allowed the UK, Canada connection to be made and Svaha Sound Records to be born.
From this seed, Svaha Blossomed and has now grown to include numerous releases in its current catalog, with a variety of exciting projects in the pipeline!
The reputation that Svaha Sound Records had made for itself was evident after that first release with the following months attracting artists such as Kanka, Vibronics, Early W~rm, Fleck, Mexican Stepper, Injham and some of the very best artists worldwide to support the unsigned talent and label on its journey.
The culmination of the labels rise in the Reggae World was cemented when they were asked to open the ONE LOVE festival in the UK in the summer of 2014. This involved a 3 hr set to get the festival underway. Svaha Sound Records, true to their ethos, invited two other crews to the event and showcased talent old and new to the gathered crowds. The year ended with their first year anniversary which included a exclusive extended interview in Tribal Realities magazine, live sets both in the UK and Canada, and a massive giveway of their catalog to date.
Svaha Sound Records prides itself on the, second-to-none, service it provides its artsits. They look after their artists through every step of their journey as a family, providing artwork services, mixing, mastering, distribution and promotion.
